Natalia Moskal with her band: Jan Stokłosa, Wojciech Gumiński, Andrzej Olewiński, Szymon Linette
Sound engineer: Tomasz Budkiewicz
An exclusive concert featuring the songs from Natalia Moskal’s album There Is a Star. Natalia Moskal is a Polish singer living and working in Poland and Italy. The album contains 14 songs featured in some post-war Italian films, which have been arranged by Jan Stokłosa. The album presents the Italy of Federico Fellini and Paolo Sorrentino with a touch of Frances Mayes. The pieces have been arranged for an orchestra including accordion, vibraphone, and saxophone. For Natalia Moskal, Italy is her second home and a country full of fascinating artists. The young Polish singer has long been interested in Italian culture, especially its cinematography and music. Eventually, she decided to indulge all her passions in one project. That’s how the idea was born to record an album with songs which had mostly been written several decades ago. The songs arranged by Jan Stokłosa include Soldi soldi soldi from Federico Fellini’s Boccaccio ‘70 (1960), Tu vuo' fa' l'americano from Melville Shavelson’s It Started in Naples (1960) or Mambo Italiano from Dino Risi’s Scandal in Sorrento (1955). All the songs featured on the album were once performed by Sophia Loren, among others.
