Roubini
Lives and works in Milan. She has studied at the Universität der Künste Berlin and at the Brera Fine Arts Academy in Milan, where she graduated, in Painting, in 2007. The following year she received a diploma in audio technology at the Institute for Musical Research (Irmus), department of the Scuola Civica, Milan. Within the frame of the cultural, social, political and economic layers of a given system, her work deals with marginal territories, internal migrations, the anthropization of remote areas, it questions the relationship between memory and orality, the elements of transition and conflict due to time-flow. As an artist she works mainly with video, sound, writing and multimedia installations which have been shown in solo and collective exhibitions in Italy and abroad. In 2017 she has co-founded with Davide Maldi l’Altauro, for the production of independent cinematographic works. In 2019, her first feature film The Way to the Mountains was presented at the Centre Pompidou in the International competition of the 41st Cinéma du Réel, and later projected in other European festivals, the film won the Corso Salani prize during the 31st Trieste Film festival in 2020.
